This thing called Biscornu

Biscornu…I have been seeing this word around quite a bit lately. It intrigued me so I went looking for more information. What I found were these quirky little “pillows” that were being used as fobs, ornaments and pin cushions.
After persuing several sites I decided to try it. I have charted my own design and am in the process of stitching it. I’ll let you know how it turns out and post a picture.
For more on Biscornus:
- I found excellent finishing instructions with photos at Annette’s Acre
- There is a bit of history and examples at Pretty Impressive Stuff plus more detailed finishing instructions.

There are also plenty of patterns out there. Check out www.etsy.com for purchasable patterns.
